All The Shiny Seahorses

"You must understand that the touch of your hand makes my pulse react,
that it's only the thrill of boy meeting girl opposites attract,
it's physical, only logical...
you must try to ignore that it means more than that, oh,
what's love got to do, got to do with it..."

What a wonderful day yesterday turned out to be! Even after yesterday's little "event" it was a great day! I went to the mall and walked around for an hour and a half imaginary shopping with imaginary money buying some pretty incredible things. All it was was great motivation for me to lose weight so I can fit into all those wonderful clothes.

I went to Panera in the mall and got an iced cafe latte AND a regular coffee and was talking to like, 3 people at the same time when I was there. I had a lot of fun. :-) While I was there I was explaining to my friends my little dilemma with caffiene. See, my Mama explained this to me last week when I went to her corporate challenge swim meet. I was drinking a Red Bull because I still had faith that someday I would be able to feel the kick from them and I hadn't slept but one hour the night before... I told her this and that I had never felt the effects of caffiene and how when I have a Red Bull or a latte or something it usually makes me just take a nap instead. LOL

She explained to me that it's because of my ADD, which is just a chemical imbalance, and "uppers" like caffiene, just bring me down - and "downers" would probably give me the boost that caffiene is supposed to. Like, Ritalin, which I took when I was 12/13 is actually an upper and if someone like, say, Jennifer - took a Ritalin... well... let's just say that would be VERY interesting to see!

I found it completely interesting and it just made perfect sense! Ah, mothers!

Even with doing not great @ all on food yesterday, Mr. Scale Man says I lost 2 lbs. :-D I reckon it was the gym and walking around for FOREVER yesterday... in heels! ;-)

So tomorrow I'm supposed to go to Wamego for the 4th of July celebration thing, however, neither of my parents have called me back to let me know if we're still on... so I have no idea if we'll actually be going or not. If they don't call me back, if we don't end up going, then tomorrow night we'll just go out with Kelly, who is a tour manager on the Warped Tour, which is here Tuesday. Tuesday, the 2nd, regardless on wether or not we're in Wamego we're coming almost all the way back to KC so we can spend the day at the Warped Tour with Kelly and Andria (both tour managers for the Warped Tour)

Jenn's known Andria for a few years but she just met Kelly and she's higher up on the tour food chain than Andria is. Andria is touring with the Warped Tour for free just to get experience, meanwhile Kelly works for a record label and has been doing this for a LONG time.

I'm SO excited to go! Kelly seems pretty excited too, she said we could spend the whole day out there and of course, Jennifer is excited to have the food catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner... LOL She said we'd be on the record label's list and she would show up the ropes for a day on tour. We're stoked... and -- without saying too much -- Jenn and I are trying to get a job on tour through Kelly. ;-) Oh -- btw, Rae, if that happens and I CAN'T take Bella, would you adopt her as your own for a few months? :-D Please? IF. IF. IF!!

I'm getting ahead of myself, no matter how much I would love to see all this happen, I'm not going to hold my breath, just yet. ;-) BUT! I am VERY excited for Tuesday, like I said! I can't wait! I'm going to take a shit ton of pics!

Today I've got a date with Gemma, and I'm going to make more icons (post below, go see and comment them.)

Tonight I have no idea what I'm doing, yay!

More to come later. :-)

Well That's Not Good

"When I grow up I wanna be famous
I wanna be a star, I wanna be in movies,
I wanna see the world, drive nice cars, I wanna have groupies,
When I grow up, be on TV, people know me, be on magazines,
When I grow up, fresh and clean, number one chick when I step on the scene..."

Good day, bad day, good and bad, I guess you can never have one without the other.

Yesterday I did wonderful and didn't eat a damn thing... until Jenn came home and then we had -- wait for it -- pizza... the worst food in the entire world (nutritionally speaking.) So then this morning, regretful of yesterday, I went to the gym and worked out for a little over a half an hour... (got to start somewhere, yes?)

I get home, take a shower, towels on da head and all I can think about is the pizza in the fridge. 4 pieces left over from last night. So I get the pizza out of the fridge and go to my room, I text Jennifer and tell her I'm about to eat it and she's all "NO! DON'T DO IT!" And I know that as soon as I take a bite I'll regret it, but I have a disorder and I cannot stop myself. So I eat it. I tell her that since that was the last of the food in the house that that would be the last thing I ate... of course after eating 4 pieces of cold pizza I feel terrible about myself, so I decide to purge.

Toilets are gross, so I went to the kitchen sink -- hey we have a garbage disposal! -- and I'm about two heaves from food when some nice red blood comes up. I decided to stop. I guess I can just work out later today and tomorrow and then the pizza will be gone.

I'm not too proud of my purging habits and my eating habits lately have been disasterous.

My throat hurts.

Plans for da day:

Not eat.
Maybe go to Mama's.
Pay cell phone bill.
Not eat.

That's all.

I found out that I don't have to work until after the 4th, so yay for that!! WOO!

Please Excuse My Tardiness

"the name on everyone's lips is gonna be, Roxie!"

I wrote this part of my blog on my BlackBerry a few days ago but I've been so busy I haven't gotten around to posting it, sorry.

They are a huge step closer to finding a cure to Alzheimer's. This morning I read on the TV that they found the protein that causes it... If they know what causes it, they can cure it.

This is amazing news, just almost exactly 8 years too late for my Grandma.

July 4, 2000 my Grandma Vivian died of the disease.

Seeing the news this morning made me cry, it may be too late for my Grandma, but it isn't too late for someone elses.

Alzheimer's is the most cruel disease ever. The 2nd to last time I saw my Grandma she had no idea who I was, I had moved to Kansas City and I wasn't around anymore. This is the woman who raised me and all she could say was "any friend of Lees is a friend of mine" I tried so hard not to cry on the way home, be strong, don't let your Daddy see you cry... But it was too hard.

The last time I saw my Grandma, I walked into her room and her eyes lit up and she exclaimed, "Jodie!" it was tremendous.

Its so cruel for your Grandma to remember you once, forget you and then remember you again.

About a month later she died.

When my Grandma died I had never lost anyone close to me before, and I have never felt that kind of empty before.

I sometimes think of what I'll feel and how I'll act when my parents die, however morbid that is, I find in some way it helps me "prepare" for their death. I reckon everyone has to go through losing their parents at one point, but I don't see how I'll ever go a day without crying, and how I'll never be able to speak of them without breaking down.

-- that's all I got...

So yesterday Jennifer and I went to the movies and FINALLY saw Sex and the City, it was amazing!! I loved it. I hope the rumors are true that they're making a sequel.

After the movie we went to Target and I bought this really beautiful green dress, it looks killer on me!! And I also bought a black handbag and Chicago on DVD. I love Chicago. It's one of my favorite films ever. For me it's one of those that I can watch over and over and not get bored of.

Last night Jennifer and I go to work like planned and we get there and the other manager who was just about to get off work says there's gonna be 6 people working that night (theres' supposed to be 3 - MAYBE 4 on overnights... and so then Jenn tells me that I can go, well then the phone rings and it's Jenn's manager and he tells her that SHE can go home too, that she's done with overnights and she can come in to start her day shift at 5a today. It's awesome that I'm on days now sooner than I thought I would be (I didn't go to work today, I'll go tomorrow.) But it's really dumb that no one called to tell her that BEFORE we wasted all the gas and time to get out there... oh well.

So Jenn and I go home and get all cleaned up and stuff, I put on my new dress and we went the casino and had a couple drinks and chatted for a few hours, it was really nice. We hadn't been out on a Friday in lord knows how long, so it was really great.

That's all today, kiddies, since I'm on the day shift I'll have more time to get on and check my shit, so I'll try not to slack as much as I have been.

No Matter What People Say

"so at my wedding I can throw ice, instead of throwing rice..."

Last night I had a dream that I was pregnant. I have tons of dreams that I'm pregnant... seriously. More than any normal person should.

Dream Moods says:

To dream that you are pregnant, symbolizes an aspect of yourself or some aspect of your personal life that is growing and developing. You may not be ready to talk about it or act on it. This may also represent the birth of a new idea, direction, project or goal.

Anyhow... here's the photos from Heather's wedding. Some of them... ;-) Still, there's a shit ton so I figured I'd basically just make this post about it. YAY!

Enjoy.

Tell me your fav and why -- and your least fav and why. Please.
