Happy Birthday, Ben! @100MonkeysMusic

Birthdays are a very important thing where I come from (planet earth), and I am all about making them special, unique and the best that they can be for my friends and people I care about. So, on this most holy of days I hope that you are happy and relaxed as I say...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BEN!

My wish for you today is that you spend it with those who matter most to you, that your beer never runs empty and that this birthday be one that you remember for always. 25 is a big deal... quarter of a century... You're like, an adult and stuff. Or something.

Keeping with the tradition of my birthday posts for y'all - here are five of my favorite photos of you that I've taken...

I remember the reaction when we figured out just how to work the guitar shirt... That was pretty awesome! I loved that entire day.

My favorite photo of you from the winter tour... from Mission, Texas.

One of my favorite photo of you from the summer tour from San Francisco.

Happy birthday, Ben... I sincerely wish you all the best. Eat some cake. Drink some beer. Have a good time and good show tonight -- Love you!

xx

Happy Birthday, Jay! @100MonkeysMusic

20 days later and you've finally caught up with me... (I actually think that it's really freaking cool that we were born literally 20 days from each other.)

There was something that I always wondered about other December babies: do people try to combine gifts for you between your birthday and Christmas? My mother was born ON Christmas and people do that for her, but I have always been very meticulous about giving her separate birthday presents and Christmas presents... and so you can expect the same thing from me when I see you next. ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAY!

Here's to hoping that 26 can be as kick-ass as 25 was. Choose carefully what your wish is when you blow out your birthday candles because you remember what they say about wishes...

My birthday wish for you is that you spend today with people that you love, you are never short on whiskey or beer and that you can smile from being genuinely happy.

In honor of your day here's a few of my favorite photos that I've taken of you. (Cheesy, I know, but it's an excuse to post some photos... Hah!)

The last two have more sentimental value than they are great photographs... But, I can't help but adore them.

Happy birthday, Jay... I know that it'll be special. See you soon... in a mere five days.

Love,

Jodie

Happy Birthday, Johnson! @100MonkeysMusic

So, today is your birthday. Badass. I've always admired spring birthdays... mine is in the winter. Chilly.

Anyhow... it's too bad that I didn't get to actually say happy birthday to you in person, but this is definitely the next best thing - because while my voice fades instantly after the words leave my mouth - this blog right herrrree, is permanent and you can have birthday wishes any time that you wish!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

In celebration of your day, I would like to share with you 5 of my favorite photos of you. (Taken by yours truly, of course...) You, my friend, are the most requested person that "fans" tell me to take pictures of... (Go you!) I reckon that's because you're so damn hard to get a good photo of, just because while the drums are your awesomeness, they are quite hidden most of the time... but I think that makes you like a ninja... And ninjas are cool.

That last photo, right there? I adore. I just thought that you should know that. I think you look like a badass.

Hope your day is awesome and I hope that this birthday post wasn't too ultra creepy. You know I heart you.

*birthday hugs*

Stay awesome!

Jodie

An Open Letter To Las Vegas

"this necklace be the reason all of my dates be blind dates..."

Dear [THE] Vegas,

I would like to prepare you for what you are about to endure. You will have several highly intoxicated girls on your hands here in a week. You have one week to prepare for our visit, but I guarantee you that is not long enough.

You will rue the day that Willow Raine, Patty McAwesomeness, Jennifer Gammon and Jodie Platz all visited you together. Add to that mix 100 Monkeys... and us girls being there for The Monkeys... in The Vegas. Oh lord... we are what your mother warned you about.

This just got SRS. And personal.

In my previous post I stated that The House Always Wins and that you will never beat The Vegas, that The Vegas will always kick your ass -- but you'll always love it. It has been brought to my attention that I was wrong. I didn't foresee the current circumstance of last minute The Vegas trips with the collected awesomeness of all the people previously mentioned in this letter.

The world may implode from successive WIN!

Don't worry... I tell you what. How about we leave Fremont alone? We won't tear down Fremont. How's that for fair? And you know, you can keep Summerlin and all that... we're just taking down the Strip. ;)

Much love, hugs and kisses,

Jodie Platz

Pic Of The Day:

Normally... I do say normally... I would hate the fact that he's standing on a bed in his SHOES. However, I will let it slide this time because firstly: It looks like it's a hotel. Secondly: I'm sure he wouldn't do this to his bed at home...

Third, and most importantly:
He's wearing the Texas flag in his pocket.

PS - I do know Patty's last name isn't "McAwesomeness" I just didn't know how she felt about me posting her last name on my blog... so... I...uh... didn't.
